Christmas sickness

It's still October and I already had enough of Christmas. I guess working in retail comes with this... You see the collections and tendencies before the general public and festive seasons come early to us. But this year is ridiculous! It was still September and many costumers were already buying and saving for it. Is just too much for me, Christmas was always my favourite time of year and i always looked forward for it but its loosing all meaning. My kids still believe in Santa so hopefully I can still feel some excitement of waiting for midnight with them. Other than that it lost all its sparkle.

DIY weekend

A few weeks ago my sister came to visit and we went looking for a dressing table. I wanted a vintage one that I could paint with a bright yellow our glossy withe but they where all very much out of budget, so I ended up buying a plain withe one. It was ugly and reminded me of the eighties but I could see the potential. Last weekend I felt inspired and went looking for paints and handles. I still didn't find any handle to suit it but I was so happy with the result that I ended up spending a few more pound and changed the whole deco of the bedroom. It's much warmer now and I'll surely spend more time in it :)

My first louboutins!

Yupiee!!! Today is a remarkable day. For some is just as trivial as a bar of chocolate, but for the girl next door, like me, is a dream come true.I am now the proud owner of my first ever pair of Christian Louboutins.I feel like trowing a party! Aren't they the most gorgeous thing ever?!

Cute stickers for my notes :)

DIY Pirate invites

My son's 7th anniversary is coming up and we had long decided that this year the theme is going to be pirates. I love organizing kids parties, it's so much fun! I ended up buying much of the decor  at www.partypieces.co.uk/ because is easier for me then shopping around and it´s not expensive at all. But i just couldn't find the right invites. They all look the same and i wanted something with personality but that wasn't to expensive. So i came up with this idea and i must say i am very pleased with the results! I bought some plain withe A4 paper that is a bit thicker and then printed the party details in a nice fount, i added a pirate logo on the top, burned the edges and then baked the paper in the oven so it looks old. My original idea was to put them in glass bottles but it was expensive, unpractical and probably not very safe for 7 year old's. I decided then to wrap them into a scroll and tie then in pirates eye patches (very cheap in Poundland), the final result is quite cute and the kids loved it.The only thing i would say is that burning 40 sheets of paper is painful, exhausting and very time consuming, but it´s very worth it!

The final look

Kenzo Jumper Fever

Every now and then a big maison reborns like a fenix from the ashes, this time is was Paris est. KENZO. with the help of  new creative directors  Humberto Leon and Carol Lim and their new fresh style. Their first big hit, that sold out everywhere, was the already famous jumpers. Every hit girl has one, from Rihanna to Chiara Ferragni. The SS 2013 fashion show was today and i can't wait to see what the next big thing is going to be!

Today's show, the print of the clothes matched the screen

"Perfumaholic"

This summer i traveled a lot,for good and not so good reasons. Of course i couldn't stay away from the duty free shops, i mean, 2 hours of wait is just too much and a girl has to keep entertained... But i think i got a bit too excited with the good perfume deals and brought home 5 (ups...) some are great and some not so much... Jimmy Choo was a pleasant surprise, it's woody but somehow is still fresh. love it!
Clinic Happy, i wore this perfume years ago and rediscovered it this year. One of my all time favorites.
Dot by Marc Jacobs, he is no doubt one of my favorite designers and i own every perfume he created, but this has to be my favorite. The bottle is gorgeous and the scent completely addictive. I bought the 100ml less then a month ago and its already one quarters down.
Ch by Carolina Herrera. This one is not one of my favorites. I like more flowery and fruity scents and this one is just too strong. but after smelling 20.000 different fragrances i thing my nose and brain just wore not in sink any more.
Ralph Lauren Romance, i wanted this one for a while and now i own it !

Cristo Redentor

This is my latest acquisition (literary, just bought it on-line), and i can't wait to have it on my neck. It's from the Portuguese blogger Ana Garcia Martins (http://apipocamaisdoce.clix.pt/) and it's a replica of one she bought in Rio de Janeiro earlier this year. Besides being gorgeous and simple is has double meaning to me. From where i grew up in Portugal you can see the Cristo Rei statue and it remindes me of home, also like i said before i plan on going to Rio next year and this surely makes me excited about visiting the real deal, Cristo redentor! Oh holidays, hurry up please!

Lana del Rey face of H&M

OK, since i already posted about Anna Dell Russo H&M collection, i might as well post about Lana. I'm not a big fan of the girl but i gotta admit she has bags of style which she calls "gangsta Nancy Sinatra". When the pictures and the windows came out i thought that is was very Lana but not very me, until i saw this outfit in a bus stop advert. I just had to have it! Isn't it just adorable ?!

Anna del Russo for H&M

I mentioned here before my love for H&M, what i didn't mention was my love for Anna Dello Russo. Now the two got into a very nice collaboration, and it couldn't be any more all over the place, and at the same time, so put together, much like Anna her self. You have turquoise luggage ( me want!), alligator necklaces, baroque details , orange and pearl jewelry mixed with animal print... I'm sure her inspiration was Walt Disney princess Ariel, but i love it! In whole, the collection has around 50 items and they are all gorgeous but affordable. Any fashionista dream. The collection hits stores world wide on 4th of October, ( which is also my payday lol) and i'm sure gonna be there at 9 am!
