I'm the baker of the family. Not because i am master but because i love to eat and so i bake as often as i can. On of my specialities are pancakes, they are not very thick nor very thin so everyone loves them! And they are soooo easy to make and they are my favourite before bed snack (i know, bad girl!!!)
Here is the recipe:
One table spoon of sugar
One cup of flour
One medium egg
And about 2 table spoons of butter ( i use salted, it gives them a nice crispy salty flavour)
You will also need a fork to mix
A non sticking frying pan
A spatula
And a tall recipient to mix everything together. ( i use an old soup container as i can just pour directly from there to the frying pan)
Start by mixing the eggs with the sugar and then pour some milk and some flour, intercalating until they are all mixed together. Be careful and don't leave any lumps.
Turn your stove at medium gas and put about a coffee spoon of butter in the pan. When is melted pour about a soup ladle of the mix, spreading it evenly. Wait until is lightly golden and turn. Repeat until you run out of mixture ( about 6 pancakes, depending on the size of your pan)
They are ready to eat :)
My favourite part is topping them, i normally have mine with sliced bananas and nuttela our caster sugar and cinnamon but options are endless!
Tips: you can reheat them in the mornibg, just put them in the microwave for about 1 minute
Kids love to help in the kitchen, so let them mix with you.
Like them a bit thicker? Use self raise flour
Like them more like crepes? Use more milk and leave the sugar out.0
Wanna impress with desert ? Use ice cream and fresh fruits
Bon appetit :)
